A Season of Giving
From when we first started selling the vegetables we grew, it was always a goal of ours to grow for everyone who wanted our products.
It's no secret that good produce, grown organically in healthy soil, often comes with a higher price tag at retail.
There is a reason for that. Human scale agriculture that puts quality over quantity requires more human work hours to achieve. Small farms like ours do not benefit from the economics of scale that large commercial producers enjoy.
Our produce costs more. But it is better. Better for you, better for the community and better for the environment.
Often the people who need good, nutrient-rich vegetables the most are those who can't afford them.
We grow for the community. And those who are in need of help, whether they are on a fixed income, or sick, or have fallen on hard times, are a part of our community, too.
Last year, we began our Community Funded CSA.
With the help of the Country Pantry and our customers who donated, we were able to provide four families with fresh produce every week throughout the 2024 growing season.
If you gave last year, THANK YOU!
It's a small dent in filling a large need within our community but it's a first step that we hope to build on more and more.
The holiday season is a special time and the magical feeling that comes with it comes from giving.
Our donation page is open. If you are able to give this year, we will stretch every cent of your gift into growing more food for those in need.
If not, please share this message with someone who may be able to help.
Every little bit counts. Many hands make light work and helpful hands build communities.
As always, thank you for your support of our farm, your interest in what we do, and your dedication to healthy food and a healthy community.
Merry Christmas.
